Fresh Details Surface Regarding the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

New information has come to light regarding the shocking deaths of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

A Alarm

According to a report quoting a confidential source, a practitioner arriving for an session initially became concerned after not being able to enter the house. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

Upon entering the home, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. A companion who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody and denied bail.

Clarifications

The person close to the family challenged several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

The source also refuted published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in recent weeks. The source claimed the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement applies to accounts of reportedly "erratic" behavior by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. While the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Details

Per law enforcement officials, the coroner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some media reports noted the condition of their bodies implied they had been dead for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
