Grief as Popular South African DJ Killed in the City of Johannesburg.
A renowned South African media personality and entertainer has been fatally gunned down in the country's largest city Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the city centre on the afternoon of Tuesday.
Authorities reported the forty-year-old media personality was approached by three suspects, one of whom shot at him before escaping on foot.
The reason of the attack remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended have been made, police said.

Law enforcement revealed that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a location near the Carlton Centre.
He had spent several hours at the site supervising the installation of security systems, which had been reportedly taken over by unknown people, as per local media.
"It is alleged the deceased was confronted by three unidentified men after parking his vehicle, and they shot at him before escaping on foot," authorities confirmed.
CCTV footage reportedly captured a man with dreadlocks and dressed in what resembled a security uniform opening fire on Stock before making his escape.
The DJ attempted to flee after he was hit but succumbed to his injuries on the opposite side of the road.
Officials noted that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the attack.
Crucial forensic evidence, like spent shells, were found at the location.

Authorities have requested anyone who saw the event who may have witnessed the attack to contact them.
"Evidence suggests they covered significant ground after the shooting, and police have been attempting to locate them to find their whereabouts," added an official.

"I am devastated. I don't have words," were her words.
